Eligibility & Requirements
What to know before you join a class
Dog Age & Health
- ✅ Dogs must be 12 months or older to use full-height agility equipment.
- ✅ Younger dogs may join foundation-level groundwork at your discretion.
- ✅ Dogs must be fit, healthy, and free from injury.
Behaviour
- ✅ Dogs must be able to work safely in a group environment.
- ✅ No uncontrolled aggression towards dogs or people.
- ✅ Dogs must be comfortable waiting their turn on lead.
- ✅ Handlers are responsible for maintaining control at all times.
Vaccination & Welfare
- ✅ Dogs must be vaccinated or have up-to-date titre testing.
- ✅ Dogs must arrive with appropriate equipment: flat collar, lead, high-value treats, water.
- ✅ No choke chains, prong collars, retractable leads, or unsuitable harnesses.
Handler Requirements
- ✅ Handlers must follow all venue rules and safety instructions.
- ✅ Suitable footwear is required for indoor sports flooring.
- ✅ Children may train only with prior agreement and must be supervised.
Training Requirements
- ✅ Dogs should have basic obedience: recall, sit or wait, and the ability to focus around other dogs.
- ✅ Handlers should be able to move safely around equipment.
